Below is some brief information & links to a number of the local  & national organisations that are present in the Borrowdale Valley. If you think we have missed any off please contact us

Borrowdale Parish Council– This is the Parish Council for the entire valley including the villages of Seatoller, Seathwaite, Rosthwaite & Grange. The Parish Council is currently made up of 6 Parish Councillors, with space for two more, so if you live in the valley and would like to join please contact the clerk@borrowdale.org.uk

Holy Trinity, Grange

The Borrowdale Shepherds Meet & Show– A traditional Shepherds Meet & Show held every September at Rosthwaite in the Borrowdale Valley

Borrowdale Fell Runners- One of the most successful fell and mountain running clubs in the UK boasting many of the UK & Europe’s top fell, mountain and adventure runners amongst its ranks in various age categories

Glaramara Outdoor Centre– Is a multi purpose venue, providing accommodation, conference facilities, outdoor activities & venue hire.

Derwentwater Foreshore Project– The Derwentwater Foreshore Project is a partnership between the site owners, users, local people and conservation organisations to restore the site, improve the long-term management and increase opportunities for visitors and locals alike.

Keswick Mountain Rescue Team – This is the local Mountain Rescue Team based in Keswick which covers the Borrowdale area. The team is made up of more than 40 volunteers who are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year to rescue walkers/climbers/mountain bikers etc who get into trouble. In the last year the team attended over 100 rescues.

National Trust This link focuses on the National Trust work in Borrowdale. The National Trust is a UK Conservation Charity, protecting historic places, and green spaces.

Fell & Rock Climbing Club– The Fell & Rock Climbing Club is the premier rock climbing and mountaineering club in the English Lake District. Which owns 5 climbing huts in the Lake District.

Lake District National Park– Looks after the unique corner of England that is the Lake District, encouraging people to enjoy the area and understand its beauty. For further details visit the link.

National Farmers Union– The NFU champions British Farming and provides support to farmers, of which there are a number in the Borrowdale Story area, for further details on their work etc please visit their website- See link
